Ireland - North Coast Scenic Drive

The estate grounds, gardens, the temple and the ruins of the Earl-Bishop's country palace are all looked after by the National Trust. The vast mansion was started in 1775 but only the shell of it is left today at Downhill Demesne. [demesne = a piece of land attached to a manor and retained by the owner for their own use]
